Potassium hexafluorozirconate is a white crystal powder. It is used in the manufacture of metallic zirconium; grain refining agent in magnesium and aluminum alloys; welding fluxes; optical glass; and surface treatments in printing processes.
It can also be used as a flame retardant for wool.
